Close to the Shropshire Hills and Wyre Forest, there’s plenty of beautiful scenery to soak up during your stay.

Shropshire is known as one of England’s most beautiful and rural counties, and when you arrive it’s easy to see why. With many small villages and towns, plus rolling fields and ancient forests, much of Shropshire still echoes the ‘green and pleasant land’ of the countryside.
Orleton Rise is only 30 minutes drive away from the Shropshire Hills, which covers over a quarter of the county. The Shropshire Hills boast exceptional nature and wildlife to see and enjoy. Some of the rarest birds in the UK can be found here, as well as some of the UK’s most loved mammals such as badgers, foxes, and pine martens.
Shropshire Hills is home to several fisheries and river fishing spots, where you can catch salmon, trout, and barbel. Neighbouring rivers such as the River Teme and River Clun also offer various fishing opportunities, including for salmon and trout.

If you’re visiting us via public transport, or you want to use public transport to get around while you stay with us, Ludlow is the nearest town with a train station, just 6 miles from us. Catch the number 490 bus service to Orleton, and from there, it’s a 30-minute walk to reach the site.
