Accessibility

We do our best to make sure that all our visitors are able to enjoy their visit to Orleton Rise Holiday Home Park. So, we’re delighted to offer the assistance and advice you need before and during your stay. We’re always making improvements to our accessibility provision. Our current services and facilities are:

Pre-arrival
  • We cater for caravans, motorhomes and hire lodge. Our website contains extensive details and photographs of the park and its facilities as well as information about the local area.
  • Because we want you to be able to contact us at your convenience, we accept enquiries and booking requests by email, online from our website, or by telephone.
Arrival & car parking facilities
  • From Green Lane we have a wide entrance that leads you onto the first area of privately owned static holiday homes; pass through this area to reach the automated barrier. With prior arrangement, the barrier will lift for you and you will see Reception to your left; please pull into the left in front of reception to book in. Once booked in, bear right and the touring area is located at the top of the park; guests are free to park on their pitch next to their caravan in the touring area. Caravan & motorhome visitors will receive a key for temporary access to the shower & WC facilities. If staying in a lodge please book in at reception, we will then show you to your holiday home; parking is adjacent to each holiday home. Lodges have their own facilities.
  • Access to Reception is via 3 steps up onto a raised deck area and the front door; it is not accessible by wheel chair and has a raised threshold. Staff are happy to offer assistance when required.
Touring facilities
  • The road leading to the touring area is on a gradual hill and tarmacked; the touring area is level grass with a loose stone chip road and pitches. You may park your vehicle next to your caravan/tent.
  • All pitches have electric hookups available.
  • There is an outdoor under cover public washing up sink and a further sink in the laundry.
  • A waste water disposal point is situated a short stroll away outside the shower block, the chemical toilet disposal point is also situated outside the shower block.
  • There is a large General Waste disposal point at the end of the shower block along with a glass recycling bin. We ask our guests to recycle; two mixed recycling bins and a second glass recycling bin are situated near the Koi Pond in the middle of the park. There are two dog waste bins; one near the general waste bin adjacent to the shower block and a second near the back pedestrian entrance to the park.
  • There are fire points with water and powder fire extinguishers and hand operated alarms on site.
  • Pitches are pre-allocated but if you have particular requirements, please advise us at the time of booking so that we are able to offer this. We’re happy to advise you.
Hire lodges
  • Our hire Lodge is 4 berth; it has 5 steps to the entrance with a handrail attached. Parking for the lodge is directly adjacent and for sole use of the lodge. Access to the lodge has a raised threshold. Our lodge is not suitable for wheel chair access.

  • Benches are dotted around the park.
  • Mobile telephone coverage is generally good around the park. The Park has a Wi-Fi connection in the Wi-Fi room only – Wi-Fi may be slow at peak times and is not sufficient for streaming.
Surrounding area
  • Orleton Rise is in a rural setting. The Park sits just below the Mortimer Trail which can be joined a short distance from the park entrance. The surrounding area is hilly and steep gradients are encountered in most areas.
  • A regular public bus service runs from Orleton Village; a 15-minute stroll to the bus stop. Ludlow or Leominster is our nearest train station, supermarkets etc; each around a 15-minute drive.
Our website and marketing
  • We alt-tag our images on our website and social media so the detail and content of the pictures we use are clear if you are visually impaired. We review all of our copy so it conforms to Plain English standards of readability.
  • Our marketing is designed to inform decisions about a holiday here not to make potential guests feel pressured into a booking, so we do not engage in misleading click-bait or time-pressured content and offers requiring immediate response.

We’re happy to help so if you have any questions at all about this Access Statement, or if you would like to talk us through your requirements or concerns before a visit please get in touch: [email protected].
