From 21st to 25th May, the festival will showcase a stunning lineup of concerts at various venues, including Ludlow Assembly Rooms, Ludlow College, and St. Laurence’s Church.
Following the overwhelming success and popularity of previous events, this year marks the third full festival. Organised by Alistair McGowan, Festival Chair, and run as a not-for-profit CIC, the five-day event aims to unite music lovers from near and far, offering something for everyone – from seasoned concertgoers to first-time visitors.
The festival’s jam-packed programme is as diverse as it is exciting. Kicking off with the much-anticipated Celebrity Concert (already sold out!), the festival will feature themed concerts spotlighting composers from around the world, along with a unique piano duet arrangement of Holst: The Planets.
Enjoy Desert Island Piano with Dame Sheila Hancock, Debbie Wiseman performing her own music from Wolf Hall with readings from Anton Lesser, and A Jazz Celebration of Cole Porter. There’s also an evening dedicated to Popular Classics, solo recitals from emerging young talent, and performances from two of the UK’s most cherished pianists: Joanna MacGregor and Peter Donohoe.
