Lights, Laughter, and Culture at Ludlow Fringe Festival

Ludlow Fringe Festival is back this August, and it’s bursting at the seams with laughs, music, storytelling, and theatre across the town. Think quirky venues, buzzing discussions, and culture around every corner.

Since 2013, this independent arts and culture celebration has grown into one of Herefordshire and Shropshire’s most anticipated summer happenings. Organised by the team at Ludlow Assembly Rooms, the Fringe Festival is all about inclusion, creativity, and community spirit.

Shanties, Stand-Up & Secret Gardens

This year’s line-up hits every note (literally). Sing along with The Moseley Brothers, a harmony-rich acoustic trio covering iconic hits, or catch a bellyful of laughs at the Friday Night Comedy Club.

And dance to the high-energy throwbacks of The Dirty Rockin’ Scoundrels, sway to sea songs with Press Gangers Shanty Band, or let the kids enjoy the imaginative world of Anne’s Art Club x Mrs Armitage on Wheels – an immersive, creative workshop following a viewing of the adaptation of Quentin Blake’s classic picture book.

Shows are scattered across Ludlow, in iconic venues including Ludlow Brewery, the Assembly Rooms, and the whimsical Secret Garden at Castle Bookshop. Turning the entire town into a stage.

Small Venues, Big Demand

Each event is individually ticketed, with prices varying. But one thing’s for sure: spaces are filling up quick.

Friends of Ludlow Assembly Rooms get priority booking for certain limited-edition events, but 60 free children’s tickets are up for grabs too. Book through the Ludlow Assembly Rooms box office before it sells out.
